We are all creators. And even in the darkest night, art can help us see again — not with our eyes, but with our hearts.
About the Artist – The Story of Lana Svetune
Lana Svetune is not just a painter — she is a woman who found her self again through art. Her story is one of transformation, deep emotional healing, and rediscovery of self through the language of color and intuition.
Born with a love for drawing and design, Lana studied fashion and worked as a professional photographer for years. Yet, painting remained a silent dream — a whisper from her childhood she didn't believe she had the right to pursue. For a long time, she thought true artists were born, not made. But the dream waited.
Until one day, Lana began painting during the darkest period of her life — in a foreign country, heartbroken after a divorce, alone and lost. It was not inspiration that brought her to the canvas, but desperation. One night, unable to sleep, she walked into her studio at 2 a.m. and began spreading colors on the canvas with her bare hands. She wasn’t trying to create beauty — she was trying to survive.
That painting became her rebirth. From that moment, Lana never stopped creating. Her early works were wild, abstract, emotional. She abandoned brushes, preferring the intimacy of hands, fingers, and raw color. Over time, her style evolved. She started listening not only to her emotions, but to something deeper: silence, stillness, intuition. That’s when she began creating what would later become her signature practice — Intuitive Blind Painting.
Intuitive Blind Painting – A Trust in the Unknown
With eyes blindfolded, Lana steps into a space of pure surrender. She chooses paints without seeing, and lets her hands feel the movement of energy across the canvas. In this sacred process, there are no mistakes — only truth. Later, she returns to each work with open eyes, adding final details, visual elements, and finishing touches. This is where soul meets vision.
Her paintings are a dance between chaos and calm, depth and light. They explore themes of love, rebirth, childhood, emotion, sacred femininity, and spiritual presence.
From expressive abstract forms to deeply symbolic portraits, Lana paints with feeling, with trust — and with a message:
"Art saved my life. And now I paint to remind others that they, too, can come back to light."
Her Style
Lana is a self-taught artist guided by inner vision and the belief that art is more than aesthetics — it’s vibration. She works mostly with acrylics, sometimes oils, and frequently incorporates texture, layering, mixed media, and intuitive symbolism. Many of her works are painted entirely without brushes, using palette knives, paper, fabric, sponges, or simply her hands.
She explores color seasons in her work — going from cool sapphire and violet periods to vibrant crimson and passionate red. Each color holds a frequency, a memory, a message.
Now and Beyond
Today, Lana continues to evolve as an artist and creator. Her dream is to share her work with the world and build LumeArt into a platform for emotional and spiritual art. In summer 2025, she will present her first immersive exhibition in Miami, featuring intuitive blind painting, light, and healing energy.
Through her work, Lana reminds us:
"We are all creators. And even in the darkest night, art can help us see again — not with our eyes, but with our hearts."
